I am letting you guys know about an insurance affiliate scheme we have running which is fundementally different to anything else you will have seen.

We are making real money with it month in month out on our site and I'm not just talking about the occassional commission cheque!

It very simply works like this:
We give you an 0800 number to promote on your site (or anywhere else you choose). Its free to you and free for callers. For EVERY call that comes through, we will pay you £1.50. (There is no VAT) REGARDLESS OF WHETHER INSURANCE IS SOLD OR NOT!!!!
We can take Motor, Bike, Van, Travel and Home calls.

Every month end we send out stats showing by day exactly how many calls have come through on your number. Times it by £1.50 and send us an invoice.

The only thing we ask is that the call lasts over 45 seconds. (99% do anyway, but its just to give us a fair chance at placing the business.)

Just a quick couple of questions,

How do you track which affiliate site the user has phoned from, as obviously you can't supply every affiliate with an 0800 number, or can/do you? Its quite an interesting concept.

and why do you have a few affiliate insurance links when you are offering your own insurance affiliate program?

Firstly, the site should now be working again! (thank Christ!)

Tracking: We can track every affiliate individually as each has their own unique 0800 number. (It doesnt cost us to buy the numbers - we just get charged per minutes use of them)

The call buying is a side of the business thats kind of taken over. We started as a regular web affiliate, but then created this call buying through a meeting I had in my real life as an Insurance Marketeer.

So we've set ourselves up now as an agent for the particular Insurance company thats actually buying the calls.
