OK - It's been talked about in a couple of other threads so its time for another of those polls about earnings.
Please indicate your average earnings per week over the last three months (please be as honest as possible - its all anonymous and honesty makes the results useful for everyone)
Please also indicate how your current earnings per week compare with a similar week 12 months ago
For all affiliates please use your profit as the figure, i.e. for payperclick affiliates deduct your payperclick cost from your affiliates earnings

I can't edit the poll to allow multiple entries - the only way to do this is to create a new poll.
If you want to do that, PM me, and I'll close this poll and xfer the number of votes cast so far across to the new one.

Wasn't an Aff a year ago, so only needed one bit of the poll anyway. Early days, but averages are starting to show already. Quite interesting, and useful as it says to me where I should be heading.![]()

I know there's at least 6 premiership footballers who post on this forum..
They also do a little affiliate marketing in their spare time.

I think the only way you will ever get an acurate guide to the amounts made in Affiliate Marketing is if all ther Affiliates accountants get together and have a sleepover with plenty of coffee!
No-one is going to be honest on what they make at this game.
This should be an interesting thread tho.
The problem with the "I earn more than £10000 a week" is that not very clear i.e. I know many a folk here who are taking in this kind of money each week.. however I don't know many that are taking this kind of money home as pay each week (but there is some).
So is it a poll for how much money you take in from affiliate marketing or is it a poll for how much money you take in from affiliate marketing minus what you had to spend to make that, or is it a poll for how much money you take home as your pay each week.. I certainly don't take that home as my pay in a week, wish I did but I am just not that good![]()
Another thing I should say is that the affiliate "divide" on earnings is huge.. I bet it's around 5% of all affiliates make 95% of all the money.. That’s a guess of course but I bet I am not far wrong with it.
The problem is keeping the poll to a reasonable number of options.
Also its aim is really to give an indication to fledling affiliates of what is possible - lets face it if you are anywhere over the 1,000 a week bracket you are doing pretty well and I for one am very inspired by the number of people doing substantially better than that.
I'd agree with you on your 95%/5% split though
codney I think your right about top 5 % earning 95%. I think the poll was meant to be profit from affiliate marketing each week.
Agreed take home maybe different if you keep it in the business etc. I might be wrong though.
I guess it is same of most industries about a few people earning big bucks
In football world only small % of premiership stars earn the really big bucks, majority in lower leagues earn much less, although most still earn far more than the avg company director!!!
Also I guess there is some super affiliate company who make a huge killing. I am a one man band, but you also got the portals like MSN sky.com etc how much do they make.
I reckon if one of us had their type in traffic we would make so much more for them.

It's probably more than that from what I know.Originally posted by Supercod

I think the principle of an anonymous poll is sound, except of course it only gives you an indication as to what members of this forum earn rather than affiliates as a whole - i.e. probably most of the top 10% of UK-based earners.
I thought I was doing OK from my earning.. now I realise how much more I could do![]()

.. I think everyone that has had the drive to give this a proper go will always want to do more it's just trying to get the motivation and making sure you spend more time on profitable stuff but not forgetting to enjoy what you do also (or at least enjoy what you can do outside of this from the money you make, where that be enough to pay the rent so you have more beer money or if it's a nice holidays and new cars).
Hi
Like you say there will be some falseness on the poll but so far to me its looking ok - It is definately inspiring though I would think even to people who have been doing it a while it reminds you that you could be doing a little more .
I'm sure like me there are plenty of affiliates who still go to work each day and if they had more time then who knows how much money can be made .
I dont think the leap from say £2k a week to £10k a week is that hard IMO - once you have cracked the basics - I feel like now if I set a site up properly in just about anything it would earn £1k a month without to much extra work after the intial couple of months link building etc
Also once you have some cash coming in theres so many more things you can do - buy links ( some advise against this - I think in careful moderation your ok ) - ppc management - website design - database manager etc etc . Pump your profits back in in this way and £10k a week will look small in 12 months i reckon.
One of my main earners is still hosted on blueyonder web space lol so you dont have to spend money initially if you find a niche you like.
Total running costs for all sites now must only come to around £400 a month and that includes Alan our stalwart accountant doing a few bits and bobs so if you go down the natural search route then your talking pure profit .
I look at that pole and think right ok I'm just still inside the £2k a week bracket - next 2 months I want to move fully into the £3k and then from there who knows.
We are in a golden time in affiliate marketing and so many more residual style programs coming which if you get in at the start can be supporting your growth in years to come hopefully .
I dont know about you guys but ill definately be working hardere on my sites this week after seeing this poll.
