Calling UK from USA? What prefix?

A strange one this. Just wondering what number to put on our US sites if people need to call us.

Say the UK number is 020 7211 8877

Is it correct that from the USA one would use 011 44 20 7211 8877 ?

And from most other places: 0 44 20 7211 8877 (or is it 00 44 20 7211 8877)?

Damn, have been using the wrong number for the last few years! Thought it was 001 instead of 011.

001 is what you dial to call the US from the UK
Its 00 + Country code (the US being 1)

In the US you dial 011 instead of our 00 and then the country code so 011 44 for the UK

Id always quote on a site +44-your number though on the assumption that people know the number they need for an international call in their own country.
