We are trying not to belong to too many networks to cut down on admin. (already with about 8 UK and US networks as well as several indy affiliate programs), but TD and CJ's silence on spyware is forcing us to join either Affiliate Future or Affiliate Window.

Which one do you think is better than the other? From my hours of research both seem to be about even stevens. The one major difference I can see is that AF pay-up even if a merchant does a runner. That can make a big difference as I'm sure there'll be more Mobile Republics and Splash DVDs in the future.

Are there any other significant differences between the two?

No contest at the moment - AW have really got their act together on data feeds, have superb reporting (with a few ideosyncracies), and provide info on average merchant overall conversion rates and EPC.

I voted for AF for two reasons:

    1. They always pay on time and you can be certain that if a transaction is still there after 7 days you will be paid for it - no questions, no arguments

    2. They were the first network (along with POR) to publically come out against spyware.

That all said, if they could get their product feed functionality as good as AWs I'd have voted for them twice

It's a shame we can't get them to do a merger and get AW's interface and technology with AF's payment etc.

I voted for AW, since their upgrades on what they have done with things such as reporting, datafeeds etc I've started to use them a whole lot more. Just the little things such as what you've earnt since last log-in there when you log-in are great.

    Cheers

    Good question..

    Firstly though

    CJ's silence on spyware
CJ no longer work with 180 solutions, WhenU or Claria in the UK

Tradedoubler however activley support adware, and looks like they will continue to do do..

As for the question.. my vote would go to Affiliate Window. Their shopwindow product, new affiliate interface, reporting, and quality of programs win over AF - but thats just personal preference.

from my own experience it has to be Affiliate Future, choice of programs, payment security and a big deciding factor me is the time they give to help affiliates and their efforts in building that one to one relationship by answering questions, offering advice, taking criticism on occasions.

All too often an affiliate is just another number.

    I haven't voted, simply because I can't properly judge.

1 of the networks is bringing me in £'s more than the other, but this is purely due to the type of visitors I get to my sites, and the advertisers offered on each network. I have checked and there isnt really any overlap with merchants between AW and AF.

    In my personal experiences;
Communication - AF & AW are excellent
Payment - AF & AW excellent
Range of merchants - AF & AW excellent - possibly AW have more well known names
Website ease of use etc - both excellent - only problem with AF, when you copying a link from the code - my pc includes the ' which is annoying.

As mentioned above, if AW & AF joined forces - they would simply blow all the rest away I reckon.

I'd be interested to try and fix this - drop me an email with how/where it occurs and i'll look into it.

    I voted Affiliate Future.

AF I think is the only network that pays out if a merchant goes under and I think AF is the first of networks to pay out.

Plus the good affiliate support from pete.

    I voted Affiliate Future.

The Gentleman's Shop had a lousy nine months with Affiliate Window, we lost a stack of money.

I then spent the next four years believing that affiliate marketing was a myth, then I came across Affiliate Future. With there lack of "up front fees" and laid back approach, ( we can close our scheme at anytime with one months notice, so long as it is in credit ), they had to be worth a look. Nine months on our affiliates produce 50% of our income!

I believe that in the past four years affiliates have gone from "chancers homepages" to media professionals and sites like ours are benefitting from their professionalism and commitment to producing results by promoting merchants to the correct audiences.

With this in mind I also believe that we would now have achieved a similar level of success with AW as AF, but with their low monthly fees you do get Pete, Jules and Dan thrown in for free with AF!
