Moneysupermarket - more competion for travel affiliates or,

Moneysupermarket are expanding their travel site and taking on loads more staff. You could see that this increases competition, which it does. But like their main site they've got a pretty handy independent affili scheme - so lets hope they offer one for their travel stuff.

The news report is here .

What are your thoughts?

Flightmapping is an unknown quantity at this point
I would certainly give it a go. At the end of the day, there's lots of room in the market, and these guys have the technology and the commercial agreements which can add value to my site, and I'm sure many others.

Obviously it would depend on revenue share rates etc.

ok after past dealings with Money Supermarket, one word of caution for ye all.

if your cash flow is needing to be flowing on a regular basis then whatever you do, if they launch the new travel portal, don't send em ALL your traffic from the start,

Normally their rates are generally ok, but their payment timescales (paid when paid) leave much to be desired, it could be 2/3 or even 4 months !.. yup 4 months before payment is made, as it seems they don't hound their merchants too hard for payment on the finance portal side of things.

not pulling them down as they aren't bad, but it is a factor that you should be aware or.

Just tread lightly IMHO if they launch the travel one as 2-4 months is somewhat longer than any normal affiliate scenario.

having said that, could be totally wrong, The travel side of things may be different to the finance side, and I hope it is payment timescale wise.

good luck, happy holidays
