Sector specific forums (travel, finance etc)
Could we have sector specific forums for the main product areas pushed by affiliates? For example, at the moment, if there is a problem with Lastminute banners, this has to be raised in the CJ forum, but ultimately it is an issue of relevance to travel sites first.
I also have a growing list of resources relevant to travel sites, which would be good to share (and see if this can grow further), but in the main forum it might well just get swamped.
It can also be hard to find older threads wading through the lounge, due to the sheer volume of posts.
I appreciate this might be a bit of work for the mods (obviously I'd be prepared to moderate the travel section), but I personally think it could be very useful.
Permanent resources might include:
Useful links to other information sites about the industry
A list of merchants in each sector, together with their networks
Regulatory information (obviously a big deal for finance)
Specific focus areas might include:
Industry related news (wouldn't we get more posts if the sectors were specific?)
Get togethers
High value products / features to promote
My interest would obviously be in a travel section, but we could also have:
Finance
Shopping
Gambling
Dating
Books / Films
Electronics

or gift sites perhaps too?? or general portal sites? or anyone else who promotes lastminute but may not specialise in travel.ultimately it is an issue of relevance to travel sites first.
Imo I think the current works reasonably ok.

hmmmm - I can see where you are going with this - but really if you look at the new post button when you arrive, you should not miss anything.
