Are your visitors generally exiting via an affiliate link or adsense, or are they just giving up?
Hi
Over the last few weeks, traffic to my site has gradually been increasing and so has the number of page views.
The average visitor views 12-13 pages on a single vist.
This is all very well, but the trouble is, these page views are not generating any adsense or other afiiliate revenue built into the site.
Is this normal ?
Does anyone have any advice ?
Thanks is advance

Hi Darrenw,
It seems that generally they exit when they have read all the articles, not really clicking on adsense at all or other affiliate links.
Frustrating really, as I spent ages writing all the content and trying to build aff links around the content.
Maybe I just have to sit it out until the traffic grows even more.

May just be me picking on your words but when you say "trying to build aff links around the content." I envisage a page thats in 2 sections - a content bit and an advertising bit maybe in a column on the side
Better to "build aff links INTO the content." such that you article maybe explains something and then says "Clcik here for more info" or whatever is appropriate
Not always easy but would definitely help
Thnks for the tip 999gi
Cheers

Definitely include your links in your content, preferably with a teaser read on...![]()

I have one site that has deliberately bad content and looks quite ugly.
People can't leave the site quick enough and guess which way most choose to leave![]()
I think most of my sites are like that... but not deliberately!I'm just not a good web designer!
