Got an Email from my system admins saying my site had been hacked and loads of hacking tools were stored on the server.

They say that if I didnt remove them and fix the holes on my sites they were going to kick me off.

Problem is that its infected servers that are used to infect others.. so your box could go onto to infect 100's of others. Even one infected server can take down a whole datacentre.. which is not good.

No datacentre could take the risk of one customer taking down hundreds of other customers servers.

Isn't it your hosting companies job to make sure that your server has all the correct security patches ?

I wouldnt let anyone on my servers.

If its Linux just run up2date, which is even more simpler then using windows update. Only diff being you need to reboot Windows 10 times

If its a windows server than use windows update... and reboot.
