Networks Christmas Support

With the big day now less than 2 weeks away I thought it was worth starting a central thread where networks can post details of their support arrangements over the Christmas and New Year period.

I know we all like to have some time off at this time of year but at the same time the Internet, and as a result, affiliate sites, are most definitely a 24/7/365 operation, and I for one, while hopefully not doing any work on Christmas Day will most certainly be working in the period between Christmas Day and New Years Day so it would be helpful to know what Network support will be available in that period should it be required.

This is all I do, so I be around Graeme also ... plan to work from home during most of that period so it be email based support.

The servers are all monitored every 5 mins so anything happens with them no matter what day it is or time it is, Graeme and I will be alerted on our mobile and pagers so if anything was to happen you know we both will know and are working towards a fix. Our upstream providers have around the clock support teams who work all year round 24/7 also, so while I don't ever want anything like that to happen, it could and folk are standing by at all times.

We will be offering our normal level of weekend support on the weekend days and the bank holidays.
This is a general review of the forum for important posts, plus the standard support of of our IT infrastructure.

For the three working days between Christmas and the New Year we'll be responding to our email support service and covering the forum. The pattern of previous years tells us that life all but stops in this period, and therefore we're not being staffed up to the nines when there is little to do. There will be office-based people for most of these three days.

Hi,

We will be breaking for Xmas at lunchtime on Thurs 23rd and will be working through the Xmas - New Year week with the office open on Wed 29th and Thurs 30th. Over these days I will be on annual leave, but Wendy (wshaw@cj.com) will be holding down the publisher team fort! Alternatively, submit a query through your publisher account manager > Contact Us > Ask a Question. We will be back in the office on Tues 4th January.

Our office will close at 3pm today, reopening on Wednesday 29th. Although several people will be on leave between Christmas and New Year, there will always be people about to answer any queries.

If you need to contact anyone urgently whilst the office is closed, please use the 'contact us' form on the OMGUK site. This goes though to several members of the team, who will respond as necessary.

As always we will closely monitor our servers and systems over Christmas and the bank holidays.
