Getting more from your affiliates

When I posted last year about finding new affiliates, a lot of the replies indicated that it was more important to get the most out of current affiliates.

So I'm trying to come up with a list to techniques and things to do to get the most out of affiliates. Obviously asking the merchants and affiliate marketers here was my first thought.

To get the list started:-

Keeping affiliates up to date with monthly bulletins.
Keeping banners and linking methods fresh.
Checking to make sure affiliates are actually linking.
Phoning affiliates that have high traffic.
Negotating better link/banner placement.
Requesting feedback on what linking methods are wanted.


Any suggestions are very much appreciated.
