    Hi,

Was wondering if any search experts could offer advice.

I started full time a/m in october last year having built my sites. I submitted to search engines (albeit with Web Position Gold 2) submitter. I've been picked up ok in yahoo, msn, overture etc, but not google. I spend over £2K per month on google adwords as well.

Because I wasn't listed on google I submitted via their own add url page or webmasters but still to no avail.

I've resubmitted every month at the start but still nothing Could it be that I have been banned for too many submissions and if so how do I find out and rectify. I'm not spamming or doing anything Illegal in the seo world so why can't I get a google listing.

Any advice would be very helpful.

    Thanks

    Tiger

The best way to get google to spider your site is to get links from sites that are already indexed.

Build up a few links and you'll find that google will visit.

I created a small site in a fairly competitive area, really with the purpose of trying out some SEO to see if I could test what works and what doesnt. Initially the pages where indexed fairly quickly by Google after I paid for a link at Abrexa and (with only one incoming link) most pages had a PR3. I never really got any traffic from Google and although I was indexed I didnt rank anywhere in the top 100 results for any of my key terms.

I made some changes to the site content and Title, Descriptions etc. which were all legal and not in anyway spammy in my opinion and the result seems to be that all my pages now have a PR0 and still no traffic from Google. A side effect is that I am now in the top 10 on Yahoo and MSN for a lot of my key phrases and I am getting some traffic from those engines, which is nice but not exactly what I was trying to achieve.

My conclusions so far are that

    1) incoming links arent that important on Yahoo or MSN

    2) I need to somehow get some incoming links to succeed in Google

    3) 'Traditional' On Page Stuff would appear to work better on Yahoo and MSN.

    4) I've got an awful lot to learn

I really would appreciate any comments from those who are more experienced in this field.

We get alot of time off during the week, and I don't like golf so I thought I'd try and boost my meagre £80,000 a week income (+ endorsments) with some affiliate marketing

Why not just pull a hamstring or turn an ankle and get the £80k for sitting on the bench? Lots of time for AM then.

PS at just £80k/week, you can't be very good at the day job.
What's Becks on? - I'm sure he said it was more than that the last time we were out being unfaitful
