Several people have asked me for more info about parasites or to explain how they work. Its so detailed and there are so many variables that I just can't - I'd have to write a book. So I thought this info would be very helpful and spark a lively discussion.

Don't know how many of you are currently at or planning to go to the http://www.ecomxpo.com? The 1st ever virtual online affiliate marketing seminar & tradeshow? I have not seen anyone here mention it.

Parasites - explained

One of the best and most talked about seminars at the show is from Ben Edelman about parasites! How they work, how they steal - complete with screenshots so you can see them in action. It's pretty hard to explain without pictures, so thanks Ben for this great presentation.

Ben has made it available outside the show so you can get the info direct even if you didn't make the show. FYI only works with IE.

Will the changes to the googletoolbar be parasitic?

that depends on what you call parasitic i suppose. The google toolbar is a voluntary download and google do explain what it does so I personally don't think it could be considered a parasite.

Yeah someone posted it a week or so ago - Dell have got some sort of promotion to do with it (subsidised entry I think). I thought it had run in the US for a few years but this was the first time it was open to Europe?
