(Sorry if this is the wrong forum to post, but when i read that the coding help forum had'nt been posted in in 30days...well!)

    Hi..

im building a flightsearch site but want for users to search at least four brands e.g. expedia, Opodo, Last minute etc, all via one self fashioned flight search template. m not saying the search will search all brands simutaneously, but that flight details need only be input once, allowing user to search one brand then go back and click to search another.

Just want to know, do respective flight search affilites offer coding help for flight search platforms when you 've signed up?

or am i gonna have to figure out simplifying the coding collaborations my self?

I guess i could just insert the full flight codes for each brand...but if theres an easier approach to simplify code repetitions...

The flight search template platform is to have the following fields:

London Airports selection, ret/dep date selection, adults/children/infants selection.

Ive noticed that coding for these types of selections are similar across most flight brands, but im not a coder although i'll be looking to forward relevant codes and instructions to my webdesigner.

I know where to get codes from i.e. CJ / Tradedoub.

I do hope affiliates have support for code insertions etc...

Any feedback, truths appreciated. Ive got tough skin. It'll probably come to me soon...

    Forgive my ramblings...

    cheers!

    Neticus,

I think I can see what you are getting at, and am looking at doing something like this myself shortly.

Essentially, it is about writing a programme which will send a query string to the relevant site as a deep link, along the lines of:

    www.merchant.com/affid=1234/

    &dep=LON&arr=NYC&out=12/3/05&back=20/3/05 etc......

AFAIK, Opodo have done this, and I think they still do. I can also think of a few private programmes which also might - pm me for details or come along next Thursday.

What I'm not so sure about is whether there is any standardisation here between the way the references are used.

This technical stuff is well over my head, so if anyone could comment further, please do!
