OK its like this. I own and run an online store selling at the moment fishing equipment, I launched in November and it did amazing untill Christmas, its died off a bit now but mainly because Ive stopped the advertising untill ive sorted a new powerful pc as im on an old dell optiplex at the moment and cant do any work.

I did contact Tradedoubler about their services but it was too much for me, my question is are there any other places that will set up an affiliate scheme for my online shop with cheaper start up costs etc.

My site gets great comments and looks so ive been told very nice indeed.

    Any suggestions please.

well i recently did a lot of looking into this for someone, who it turned out was wasting my time.

AF will sort you out for 30% over ride, £500 set up and £75 (I think thats right) a month maintenance.

    Buy.at will recomend POR

POR no set up, 25% over ride and a low monthly maintenance, about £25 I think but I cant really remember, cheap anyway. But they'll only have you if they think your worth it. As in, they wont just sign up any old merchant for the quick £££ set up money.

    td & cj expensive

you might want to PM CMG on this forum about ocean affiliates see how there doing.

over ride is a % the network takes out of your ribs on commission paid to affilaites.

    ie

after you have paid the set up fee,
you pay the monthly fee , if any.. and then an over ride on sales/commission

Say you make £10000 in sales and pay out £1000 in commissions (at 10% of sale )

the networks would take a percentage.. say 25% of the commission you paid out..

so you costs for the month would be...

monthly fee if any say.. £75
    £1000 in commission to affiliates
£250 in over ride to the network
Total cost : £1325.00 for £10k in sales if at 10% commission

so really over ride needs taking into account when figuring out what you can pay us affiliates...
