Just got this in my account

"The Google Budget Optimizer™ campaign management tool automatically adjusts your keyword Max CPCs on your behalf. All you need to do is set a target budget, and the Budget Optimizer will actively seek out the most clicks possible within that budget.

The Budget Optimizer helps you reach your target spend every month without requiring a lot of work on your part. You can save time, eliminate the guesswork related to setting your CPCs, and enhance your return on investment.

(Please note that the goal of the Budget Optimizer is simply to help you receive the highest number of clicks possible within your budget. The Budget Optimizer will not help you achieve a specific ad position)"

Interesting development - seems to be for lazy people who don't want a decent return - or am I missing something - surely costs would rise if you used this?

Hmm. Sounds interseting but also a tad dangersous, if I've got money left at the end of the month I usually think its a good month and spend it on beer and food not forgetting the wife, the kids and the mortage, but honestly I don't see how this helps really other than trying to take what is to many, well me in particular part and parcel of the whole managerment process of being a full time affiliate. Bleeding your eyeballs dry on stats ppc. If I'm going to blow £2K a month on PPC then i want to know where it sgoing and what i'm spending it on. Surely this is like handing over all responsibility. Will it also alert you to clicks you are wasting ? No probably not it will just absorb all of your cash buying you yet more useless clicks.

I think if you still have marketing budget left over then your not doing something quite right. Aren't all businesses usually saying I wish i had more money for investment or marketing, not hey hold on we've still got £100 in our budget, lets throw it down the drain just to ensure it is spent.

If you wish to use this thing great go for it and i wish youluck with it. I prefer to hold onto my own purse string though. BUt then Iam cash conscious. Or tight as my mates would have me know.

Please note that absence of the word conversion! I would leave well alone.

Now what would make it really cool was if it used the Conversion Tracker tool in it's calculations, then it might just be worth it.
