Hmm.. i thought this was only capable with a 302 redirect, wasn't aware that this could be done by a simple meta refresh too. G' really need to pull thier finger out and combat this like other engines have. You would think somebody with an oversized brain could have firgured this one out by now... or is their job to count the 0's on the balance sheet?
Just wondering if this is maybe some disgruntled victim of a 302 trying to force google to do something to eliminate this sort of behaviour.

Google’s way of dealing with redirects is so flawed that people with a legit reason for using a script to redirect a user via before sending them on to the destination could be seen as a hijacker but are doing nothing more than the harmless task of tagging out bound clicks to they know what users have bought things via their links.
This is very much Google’s problem and they need to sort it as it’s effecting others and it won’t be long before someone with no clue what’s happening decided to get lawyers involved to sue an innocent webmaster for something that’s not their fault.
The issue is Google might do a knee jerk reaction and kill all sites who use scripts or pages to redirect links out of their sites, and that would be just as bad as the current situation if not more so.
Interesting to note the url on Google's own ad. The display url is not the destination. .co.uk points to the .com site.
"Doe this possibly suggest that PR has little significance or bears no relation / no correlation to rankings & that it's merely becoming just a series of patches....a shadow of it's former self?"
