I can vouch for Matt, he does do his job for the most part very well. But Matt can only do his job well if he is given all the facts from his clients. Had a full brief been provided including the challanges faced, I am convinced that Matt would have made a different call...

Perhaps I wasn't sufficiently clear : I don't think that any blame should attach to Matt, nor do I think a huge amount should attach to Gavin. From my admittedly somewhat distant perspective, this seems to be mostly a problem caused by corporate decisions made at ASOS, compounded by being given to an inexperienced Aff Man, who has not been adequately supported to do the job he *should* be doing, which is communicating some tough changes to a cynical affiliate community.

I certainly don't wish to annoy Matt (as I suspect he is one of the few people in the country who could get me another job if I end up on the street again), and I don't think Gavin necessarily deserves everything that has been slung at him in this thread, although his performance thus far has clearly been sub-optimal. Hopefully, for everyones sake, he's a quick learner...
