They've already been talking about a new domain just for adult stuff - but I think they'd want to charge people about $70 for each domain so it stinks of a money making scam to me.
They could easily decide that gambling should go the same way, and then perhaps financial and then perhaps you'd need a licence to sell anything online or even have a website.
It will never be possible for a 'country' to 'own' and dictate the internet.
I see no way that (even though many authoritive DNS's reside in the USA) any country could dictate data travel over the internet in other counties without crippling their own internet industry.
Thats the thing with the 'net' its always been a bit anarchic - sometimes thats a down side - sometimes an up.
When the new rules to adult sites come out the aduit site Bit Torrent that was hosted in the netherlands, and the domain was not registered with a US registrar was just shut down by the US government etc
So its a matter of time for the new rules on casino sites
