    Hi All,

There has been lots of talk about a golf day and with summer passing us by we'd like to put together the first of hopefully many golf day's!

This is an open day for any Affiliates, Merchants & Networks that are able to attend. Ability is not a pre-requisite!

Time: 1pm start (every group of 4 will have a different tee off time)
Attendance: Min 12 players max 36 (1st in best dressed)
Venue: Traditions Golf Club, nr Woking, Surrey http://www.crown-golf.co.uk/traditions/
Cost: around £30 (Bacon Roll & Coffee + 18 Holes) / Dinner extra
    Prizes: TBA
    Sponsors: Webgains, Buyagift.
Dinner: 6 - 8 pm (depending on entrants) Menu & Costs TBA
Dinner RSVP: Final numbers must be confirmed by 16th July

There will be prizes for the best score (stableford rules so everyone has a chance to win), closest to pin, longest drive and of course "best attire"! Players are to meet at the Traditions Golf Club at 1pm. There will be staggered tee off times in groups of 4 and after each group completes their 18 holes they will meet up in the club house. The maximum number of entrants is 36 which means the last player will finish at around 7pm.

To register for this event and confirm your position a £10 deposit will be required as soon as possible. The final balance of £20 will need to be paid on arrival. Confirmed entrants will be posted on the A4Uforum and further details will be notified by email. Deposits can be made online with your credit card http://www.webgains.com/events/ here. If you do not have a credit card, you can reserve your position by emailing and posting a cheque for £10 (payable to Webgains Ltd) to:

    Webgains Ltd
    Vigilant House
    120 Wilton Rd
    Victoria
    London
    SW1V 1JZ.

Remember: It's not about serious golfers, this is meant to be a fun day out! If you don't want to play, you could always be the caddy, drive the buggy or meet up during the day in the club house.

Dinner reservations are essential. Please check the tick box when you pay online or send notification when you post your deposit.

My closest local course - nice!

I would love to play but a combination of knee op recovery, and a baby due on the 27th, makes me a non-starter I think...

Watch out for the ditches and the lake on the 13th....

Cheers Keir... maybe next time? There are some other keen golfers in the industry that have also missed out this time so I will make sure I give plenty of notice for the next one!

Details of the event have now been sent to all entrants and I thought I'd post up the prizes here for some extra shameless promotion for the sponsors!

Best attire: £40 Gift Voucher from HargreavesUK on Webgains
Best Score (stableford): Pillage Putter from Buyagift & £20 Gift Voucher from Session1 on Webgains
Longest drive: Pillage Putter from Buyagift
Closest to Pin: Golf Set from The Gift Experience on Webgains
Lowest Score: Antique Golf "Tea Pot" from Webgains

Webgains will sponsor the bar for drinks when you finish your 18 holes. Hopefully it's an enjoyable day for all. I'm looking forward to it! See you there at 12:30.

Fingers crossed the weather will hold off!

A big thankyou to all those that participated to make a great day of golf at the Traditions Golf Club on Saturday! It was a pleasure to get away from the hussle and bussle of work and hit a few golf balls with people in the industry on the weekend.

A special thankyou to Graham from Buyagift for co-sponsoring the event with two Pillage Putters!

The best score(stableford) was drawn by Qui Gon Jinn and Jason from Nixxie which meant a playoff hole for 1st prize on the 10th hole. This was a par 3 hole that eventually saw Jason victorious by one stroke! A very entertaining finish to a great day!

    The prize winners were:
    Best Score (stableford): Jason (Nixxie)
    Longest drive: Nick (Sony)
    Closest to Pin: Satish (Nixxie)
    Lowest Score: Damian

Due to the 1st group finishing 2 hours before the last group the speechmaker (4 pints later) may have forgotten to award the prize for best attire from HargreavesUK. For this I am very embarrassed but come to think of it... no one really stood out for that prize anyway so this will be carried forward to the next event!

I would like to also thank our other co-sponsors Session1 & The Gift Experience.

I hope you all enjoyed the day and will be back for another soon!

Thanks for organising this great day Ryan. It was a pleasure to play with you and demonstrate my full portfolio of shots from totally brilliant to completely atrocious. I need to restock on my balls again!

Thanks also to Graham for donating the putter I got for the longest drive. I'll be giving it a try very soon...

Many thanks for organising the Golf Day Ryan, I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Thanks to the sponsors for donating the prizes & the great company in our particular group Graham, Stuart & Satish where we had a one sided skins format between us. Grey-ham & Stu ... myself & Satsh will carry over the £42 on to the next challenge

A special congratualtions to Jason for winning a nerve wracking play-off.

Somebody suggested an affiliate golf society which could be fun with an event once per month.

What a great day out last Saturday, both myself and Satish really enjoyed the day and thanks to Ryan for organising it and for Buyagift for the new putter (it isn't on Ebay - I promise!!!).

There was talk of setting up an Affiliate Golf society, which I think is an excellent idea. I am happy to start organising this if those who are interested let me know who wants to join and we will take it from there.

Once again, thanks for a great day and Paul I hope that we don't have to go through a play-off like that again - far too nerve-racking!!

    Cheers,

    Jason.
