We're not moving purely to PPC! Promise!
We do value the PPC space enormously - but in a sense it's lower maintenance than all the other things that add to an affiliate program - that's where I know I spend a great deal of my time.
I can't think of a better program than one that has a PPC brand name bidding solution in place TOGETHER WITH a compelling consumer proposition, exlusive affiliate offers, great creative, an excellent XML feed, high commissions, dynamic banners and everything else that makes a successful affiliate program.
PPC is just one part of a whole (an important part I agree) but do bear in mind that the vast majority of our advertisers do not run managed solutions.
Also remember that a number of our clients would only entertain the idea of brand name bidding after we had shown that affiliates could drive sales via natural search.
