    Hi

Speaking as an affiliate I get lots of emails everyday and read only a few , the rest get binned - quite often they are network newletters that I just am to busy/lazy to read.

Due to this I often miss the launches of good programs I would promote when I have time and as hardly anyone ever rings me to let me know of programs I am sometimes in the dark during the honey moon periods of some new programs as an affiliate.

What I am interested in finding out is do other people have a similar experience with network newsletters?

Should we as a network always have one regardless?

    Do many affiliates use RSS?

Would those affiliates prefer us to be using RSS for certain communications?

Your views would be much appreciated

    Thanks

    Mal

RSS would be great - I have to admit to not reading many newsletters anymore but I do read a few RSS feeds and it would make it easier to pick out details about specific topics/programs that are of interest.

I did consider a while back putting something together myself but was never sure if merchants would allow me to republish their newsletters?

Sounds like a great idea Fraser - only issue we would have is the newsletter is prepopulated with an affiliate ID. However, if it was something you were going to do I'm sure we could sort that out!

Well not sure how many others might use it but I think we will press ahead and still have the newsletter as well for those that want it .

Eventually I think RSS will take over and newsletters will become less and less relevant and we might as well be at the forefront of it.

    Thanks for the input guys

Got to agree RSS is definately the way ahead on this one.

I get so many e-mails that something has to really stand out to catch my eye and because I am fundementaly sooooo busy if an offer does not have an expiry, a new site offers a good description or a link does not work the e-mail is usually deleted or the affiliate site is forgotten about.
