Hi all

Just a general thread regarding the above kinds of programs - as I am creating a pretty comprehensive section for this on our network over the next few weeks I wanted to get some general feedback from affiliates who use gambling programs as to what they like / dont like

Things I am interested in -

Bounty vs rev share

Ticker creative vs banners

Free bet or no free bet does it matter to you?

Are you a fan of umbrella programs

Does creative led with £'s instead of dollars make a real difference

Levels of reporting - are there metrics you would really like to know that you never get reported?

Batched rev - the sooner the better or I am happy to wait till month end it doesnt bother me?

Sector specific emails - sick of getting emailed about casino's and football betting when you promote a tennis website?

Would you like more content around your chosen subject for use in SEO?

I have some amazing brands coming on board which will form the basis for our gaming section and so these questions are popping into my mind at this juncture so any feedback is much appreciated so we can provide a 2005 level of service for all you gaming affiliates out there.

Its about time some of the programs available stepped out of the dark ages!

Batched rev - the sooner the better or I am happy to wait till month end it doesnt bother me?

I personally dislike batched reporting - mainly because of experiences with TD... i.e. batches left for weeks, no times posted, not done regularly, having to wait a month, two months for detail... no come back if there's an issue.

And also with independents where you get an email saying "this month you have earnt nothing" and that's your stats for the month!

So, sooner the better - Coral with Tyson's Brand Conversion is daily and that's cool... gives me a chance to keep tabs on activity.

Bounty vs rev share

What i'd like to see is options for both and reporting for both - and an ability to switch. Flexi-commission!

E.g. I choose bounty - i send 5 leads and those 5 leads earn a fixed amount - but if i see a report that says "with these 5 leads" you'd have earnt 20x more with revshare then perhaps the next month it'd be good to test revshare (obviously this would only apply to new leads).

Or perhaps an option for a low fixed bounty couple with revshare?

With regards to bounty i'd also like to see full details on qualification. Too many times lately you see "to earn £100 CPA a new customer must deposit $30" - but it's unclear if it's initial deposit, on their first day session, over a fixed period, or what... and i'm sure there are some programs where affiliates are losing out because punters are depositing say $20 on the first deposit then go on to deposit more.

Ticker creative vs banners

Tickers are good but i don't think they're that exciting... content units would be nicer (e.g. top bets of the day, top 5 matches, top events, top tips... so darn obvious for a bookie to do... yet none of them offer this to affiliates). You look at the front pages of most bookies and there's content that could be played with so that affiliates could use.

Casino tickers would be good too for the progressives.

Poker tournaments... top games ... so much that can be done, so little often offered.

Levels of reporting

As good as Coral on BC - that'll do

Does creative led with £'s instead of dollars make a real difference

Would like to see ££ on a UK site.. but would like options for Euros and Dollars.

Some really good comments there to take on board.

I would love to run a gaming program from the merchants end for a month or two and really go to town on it. As a network it is much harder to get this stuff pushed through and so although ill try to incorporate all the good suggestions I wont get them all in every program even though I want to.

More XML feeds - afaik at the moment only Blue Square sportsbook offers an XML feed and for me it works really well as the odds are updated every 5 minutes - but I'd like to be able to offer the same sort of functionality from other bookies too.

I'd like to see more detailed reporting on rev share. At the moment the casino I use just gives one amount. I'd like to have a break down of the number of users and how much they have losted (or not) and the amount for each.

Also with rev share is whether it gets reset every month.
