    $650m for a network that attracts 70m uniques/month means that the valuation works out as approximately $9 for each unique user/month.

    Anyone who has good content sites, get your calculators out!

    Article puts the price at $650m making it closer to $9 per unique. That said anybody who has visited IGN itself or Gamespy will know you get totally bombarded with advertising. I think CPM becomes cost per visitor cause it feels like they try to show you 1000 banners.

    Very true. You have to log in too don't you?

    That's a lot of money, even with a database of gamers like that. I'm guessing that's what the money's for.
