Does anyone get any sales with Fonetastic mobiles?

I know i dont get that many visitors to this site but 677 unique visitors without a sale seems very odd.

    Stats from 1st Oct - 15th Oct

    Monthly Unique Visitors 677
    Monthly Leads 0
    monthly Pending 0
    Monthly Passed 0
    Monthly Failed 0
    Monthly Commission £0

All visitors have come from google (natural searches thank god!)

Anyone wanna buy this successful phone site...lol

I've had none for a week or so I think - and from the number of visitors I'd have expected some. But there you go.

    Hi Leeky

If it is any consolation, I have had similiar figures with fonetastic mobile aswell..quite disappointed.

Unlike you, the visitors were obtained by adwords and each click costing me 50 to 70p per click!

    Oh well..learning curve I guess!

I gave the ago after being needled into switching my mobileshop.com (same company) affiliate future links. Did so made a few sales, changed links back as wasnt happy with the converion rates and epc for fonetastic indy program. Forgot about the small bit of promot i did for FTM back in AUG but did receive a cheque in thepost the other day for £55 (2 sales).

Will stick however with affiiate future. At least i log in to their account daily if not every 5 mins to check that i am logging sales on a daily basis and all is good. Thats why i like networks over indies as i can check everything is good in one log in.

    hi guys,

I'm not one who's going to stand up and promote Fonetastic but month on month we usually do at least £1000 with them just for natural search white label listings.

It does work, however, conversions are nowhere near as good as networks unless you send targetted traffic.

It is a nice little bonus at the end of each month though

    Thanks for the replies.

Ive spent some of today altering the site after noticing most people were not looking at more than 1 page. (its just a white label site using a sub domain on fonetastic)

I think i had too many products on offer on one page, so ive trimmed it down quite a lot... The amount of products may have made the site look too complicated, or too much like hard work to look around.

Ive also removed my own heading and replaced it with Fonetastic Mobiles heading thinking people may feel more confident with a name they recognize.

Still not made a sale yet but ive found people are looking at far more pages before they leave :-)

As for the traffic, well they seem pretty certain what they are looking for because 80% of the searches are for an exact phone model (which is featured on my front page), so i really would have expected the CR to be high.

    Hello People!

Believe it or not, we do actually appreciate all the feedback - good and bad, as anything that helps us to improve the conversion rate is good for us as it is for you.

You'll all notice that the site has undergone some major improvements recently (take a look at www.fonetasticmobile.co.uk) and features a great new look and feel, as well as the same offers as Mobileshop - which I'm sure most of you would agree converts really well at over 3% click to lead, and substantially more than that for the top affiliates.

Fonetasticmobile offers affiliates the chance to really play around with the content and the design of your sites, and to brand it to your own brand or not, depending on how you feel. All of this can impact on conversion.

As Andrew has shown - it works for some affiliates, and works well with SEO due to a combination of search engines quite liking the site, the SEO tools embedded in the whitelable and affiliates being able to send traffic straight to the site, without a tracking URL. We appreciate that for some affilaites it isn't working as well as others, but for many Fonetasticmobile is a very profitable programme, delivering substantial volume.

We are always working on improving the site, so any suggestions that you may have will be taken very seriously, and we hope to implement as many as possible. I'm particularly interested as to why you think that FTM would convert worse than Mobileshop with a very similar site, and the same customer propositions. ftm@ro-eye.co.uk

Leeky - send me your url and I'll have a look, but I think the changes you've made are a good idea.

    Regards,

Gavin Hudson - R.O.EYE, affiliate management for Fonetasticmobile and Mobileshop

Gav mate im not sure but just thinking from if I was buying a phone but the logo of powered by mobileshop on the site would put me off as it would make me think what is the point in using fonetastic? I just thought that might have been a tip for the site but your past research may suggest otherwise

    Hope thats useful!

Leeky - d'oh, I'm mixing my abbreviations. I haven't set that email account up, it should be ftm@ro-eye.co.uk, or my personal email which I've PM'ed you.

Monk-i, the idea behing putting the 'powered by' logo was to give the site more credibility, and enable to see that there is a real business behind the site, FTM aren't just a dropshipper. I see what you mean though. It's very easy to change that logo for whatever you like : http://holidaymobiles.fonetasticmobi...hones.php/4091

I thought that might have been the case for credibility But thought nonetheless be worth mentioning in case you had not researched it.

    All the best mate.

With FTM is it possible to customise the whole whitelable? If I was to use FTM I would pretty much revamp the whole thing to my own styling in terms of stylesheet, main graphics and so forth. Is this possible? The only issue would be the domain as I would have prefered to design a new brand which I owned myself.

I've never trusted the click stats at Fonetastic - I think they get artificially inflated with bots and crawlers and all sorts of things like that. Some days the UVs were just plain bonkers, and really I just could not figure out where on earth the traffic was coming from. I don't think they were real people at all.
