Dumb questions but I work with a couple of merchants who have white label solutions. How do they work, some merchants suggest frames where you have your navigation, and their site as main content.

I just cant see how this would work with SEO as I wont have any content for SE to list me high.

Any one able to offer me some basic explanation of the joys of white label sites.

Best to work with a white label that you can work with, ie. add your own components and bits to the white label product. If not you will lose out SEO wise. Though if you have a type-in-traffic domain a white label could be a perfect solution to start earning good income.

Obviously the benefits are that all the work and updates are done on another server for you. The downside are that you don't really have much individuality to your site unless you add your own and that most search engines won't like you, etc.

    Questions to ask:

    How good is your marketing?
Where will your users come from?
    How will you find them?

All questions to ask yourself before you implement your solution. Also some white labels will pay more and perform better than others. Research or testing should be done beforehand to find which ones to choose.

    Hope this helps.

White label sites are not meant for people to think they can submit to google and make money, i dont think they ever were. White labels are designed for people that already have their own traffic or portal and want a white label that ties in with their brand or image/idea. For the most part they are no better than sending people to the merchants real site directly, though it does give a lot of affiliates a sense of ownership i can see.

They come in a few different guises, but mainly as iframed content
    Nothing to see here...
