Mobile sales down - mercant wide??!?!

G'day!

I know we're only a few days in to December but I am noticing probably a 50% drop off in contract mobile sales across my sites.

Going in to december 3 removed their half price line rental consumer offers and vodafone removed £100 off of the commission package to dealers which was obviously passed on in higher prices to the consumer.

Combined with a shift to payg sales in the run up as xmas pressies it's going to be a tight month for me i think - time to diversify

Can any other mobile affiliate vouch for the decline in overall sales levels? Or am I just being hit.... I'm pretty sure that the changes from 3 and voda have impacted hard. It didnt help either that voda stopped offering my two best selling tariffs either.

Just as well I am in Sydney and it's 30 degrees outside, else I would be getting all depressed now

I'll let you know when I've got some data, Mike. But I'd be interested in what you've got to say. Mobileshop are strongest on O2 anyway, so the Voda and 3 changes won't hit so hard there.

December's a strange month, how would you usually expect it to be - relative to November? I'm thinking it would be down, if not just due to the fact that there are less effective selling days...

I am very quiet since Mid Nov, but have put it down to the fact that my site is getting no love or attention as I have been ill for 10 weeks.

Other non mobile sites, are helping to pay the bills...
