HI, another Newbie here, looking for some useful guidance please.

I am currently researching and starting to define a website in the travel sector. (Yes, I know there are thousands already, but I do think there are a few niches out there that I can focus on).

I know the content is critical, and am working hard on this, but as a non-techie, I feel the most uncomfortable when confronted with all the jargon etc.

I also need guidance in terms of software and tools.

I read the forums regularly and an picking up on the kind of comments people are submiting re hosting services and particular software, but to be honest this is confusing me more.

Why specifically does MS Frontpage get such a hammering? An old colleague of mine in Australia speaks highly of it.

Is it that its OK for beginners but not up the more complex stuff?

I guess I really need some recommendations re a good start point in terms of hosting / software etc.

I have also registered with several of the affiliate programs to gain knowledge of their programs and merchants, and also to get a feel for lifting the code/links etc. Is there any tutorials anywhere on this.

I am not expecting instant success, but would rather start down the right path, and advance at a pace that I can cope with.
