    Hi,

I am looking into affiliate networks in Europe. In my past life I worked with an in-house programme across EU, in this life I haven't been overly impressed with the affiliate networks we have tried to worked with - although there was nothing specifically wrong with them.

Does anyone have any thoughts on the best affiliate networks to work with from both an affiliate and merchant view point in Germany, Spain, Italy and France.

I'm interested in pro's cons, who proactive they are in terms of managing a merchant programme and who you would rate their customer service as an affiliate.

I am particularly interested in networks specific to these countries rather then the larger Trade Doubler and CJ's (although I would also love to hear feedback on these guys if its any different to their approach in the UK)

    Many Thanks

    Sara

    Hi Sara,

Give us a call or email, we have been operating in Europe for over the last year. We are planning something shortly which sounds like it will fit in well with you.

    Hi Sara,

The French network www.first-coffee.com has a good reputation I believe, they have recently been purchased by Zanox. http://www.cibleclick.fr/ is also well established.

Don't forget we have the a4uEuropa forums, would be good to stimulate some discussion there

If your looking for the largest networks in those countries then your going to bump into::

    Tradedoubler
    Zanox

and for some of them i think CJ

Zanox is the largest affiliate network in Germany, having just bought the First Coffee network and merging their own advertisers they represent the second largest network in france along with Spain and Italy. One single login, multiple language/currency interface.

Tradedoubler are present in those countries with a lot of programs but i believe you still have to have a seperate login for each and every country and i am not sure they are really of any huge size in a couple of the countries but maybe they can stand me corrected.

CJ have certainly started in Germany not sure about all of the countríes you mentioned and if they are they certainly are not making any noise enough for me to hear about them.

Cibleclick are pretty much the Big boys in France though as i said zanox seem to be approaching if not number two.

There does seem to be a big race at the moment with a lot of the smaller networks having problems at home or wanting to expand and thinking that abroad would be an obvious choice. In every country there is an established market leader and it takes a lot of money and time for "new" networks to even dent a market.

In summary if i had the money to start in all of those countries i would choose the largest networks in each of the countries and be done with it, at least you know your going to make sales. If you want to keep it as simple as possible so you can keep it all in order and plan for the future then your not going to be able to beat zanox, but really look at the reasons why, single login 25 countries etc. Most networks need you to have 4 seperate logins for 4 countries, and complete setups for each, zanox can make one single login for all the programs at once.

Hope thats of some help to you

    Matt

    Matt

Surprised you missed out affili.net - they are big in Germany too and have just bought/merged with Cibleclick in France.
Never argue with idiots. They just drag you down to their level and then beat you with their experience.

If ignorance is bliss then some of the people I know must be orgasmic.

    Hi Sara,

We are currently one of the largest European ecommerce platform which offers multi currency and multi language interface. Depending on your settings you have access to programs/pan European campaigns from different sales regions.

We operate on 25 different countries. With one username, you have an opportunity to work with countries such as Spain, Italy, Germany, Sweden, China, US etc.

Indeed, we bought the biggest network First coffee in France, which has a very good standing within the industry.

Why not give drop me a mail, maybe I can be of help further.
