    From Jensense.

Summed up well at the bottom of the post.

In terms of dominating the online advertising market, AdSense rich media could seal the deal to make AdSense the force to be reckoned with, by not only dominating the online text ad and graphical banner-style advertising, but in the entire online advertising market. Definitely a story to watch.
Does anyone here currently use any rich media advertising, and if so would you switch over to adsense if the beta trial was succesful? A change to the TOS as mentioned would be a bad step by google in terms of the PR that they would get for it, but it could well be another step of their dominance.

What's the better than Yahoo! follow google down this line?

Rich media sucks from a consumer point of view - those ads that float out and over possibly have a great click through as many of them are tricky to close and so annoying its unbelievable.

Is there research to support that people prefer them? Or are they just seem as "better" for the advertiser?

great for brand awareness, hell for the user and rip off for the advertiser... if google goes down that path, will probably be the death of them.
Intelligent and "in context" advertising is not that intelligent, how ever google’s ads maybe a bit more intelligent then most, impo
