.co.uk Private Registration?
I'm just about to buy a load of .co.uk and .com domains and I can't seem to find anywhere that offers private registrations on .co.uk domains.
Can you register .co.uk domains privately?
I dont want my information to be available on a whois search.Dave

If you register via the bottom of the home page at www.operate.com , then Easily will display your name but not your address for .co.uk names. You might want to double check with Easily but that seems to be the case with the names that I have registered.

easyspace do a thing where they put easyspaces address. Be warned its a rip off for what you get.
123reg.co.uk allow you to opt out of the uk whois. as for the .com just put mickeymouse info.

Hey Dan, It's going well, thanks for asking. Hows things your end? We should catch up at the next big GTG for sure.
Re: Domains..
I ended up just entering Mickey Mouse details - not sure if it had something to do with the info I entered when I signed up but I couldn't find the opt out box.
Was entering Individual as well so not quite sure what was going on.
Sent an email off to them just to ask exactly where I would find it for next time so will update the thread when I get a reply.
Cheers.Dave

Maybe I'm missing something but assuming you're going to use the domains for legitimate purposes why would you want to hide your details.
Personally I would have thought that hiding your details would make people (including affiliate managers) more wary of your domainNever argue with idiots. They just drag you down to their level and then beat you with their experience.

It has been said "google uses auto check whois software" if private a flag goes up, I have not checked it out, but makes sense cos google can do anything!

I dont see why you need to put mickey mouse details in regardless of where you register the domain. You open up alot of problems like Hari points out, hundreds of domains drop everyday many of which are because the owner was not contactable or could not be verified as the legal owner.
All you have to do is email nominet and they will change the whois to opt out.
Or when you get the certificate I believe you can do it online with the code they send you.
