    Hi everyone,

I wonder if anyone can help... I'm looking for databases of dentists, doctors and vets (just name, address, tel/fax... that kind of thing). Can anyone out there help with this, or point me in the right direction?

    Thanks a bundle,

    Aaron

I had a mate with an idea for websites along these lines and he couldn't find any - let me know if you do. From memory what he had in mind had data protection implications...

Try Thomson directory, they will charge you for th einformation though depending on how much information you want and how many records there are!

Yep, will let you know... what I have currently is a number of tourism-related websites (ukhotel.com, ukcottage.com, ukattraction.com, etc. etc.) and I'm figuring that it would be helpful to people if they could print off a page on the site for the location they're visiting that gives all these kinds of contact details, just in case they should need them on their travels.

If anyone knows of anything, it'd be really helpful.

    Thanks

    Thanks, Wardy... just trying those.

Acxiom - weren't sure if they still did it. Someone is going to call back

Blue Sheep - have emailed them.

Data HQ - would need an "eternity license". £240 per thousand. Is going to call back with an indication of how many thousands there are...

Market Scan - said he couldn't assist me for what I was doing. Got the impression it wasn't allowed as far as he was concerned (from Thomson's POV).

No reply yet, but then they haven't had long to respond....

They've just called back this minutre. They have 50,000 entries but, since some GPs are assigned to the same doctor's surgery, he thinks with a bit of manipulation, the figure would be brought down to 30K. 30 times £240... ouch.

Have a search and try and get a direct contact with Thomson, it was direct with them that I had contact when I was after an idea for costs on some stuff.
