Sorry I don't know the answer, except I usually allocate permissions in CPanel, not phpmyadmin.
You might get more help if you post it in the "Scripts, Web Design & Help" section, listed under "Webmaster Corner".
trying to set up my 1st SQL database. Hosting on shared server from ukdomains, used PLESK cpanel to create the database and then creating new users that have full access rights.
I want to revoke some rights but if I use phpmysqladmin to do
revoke drop
on *.*
from "username@%";
I get an error as I do not have permission, message is something like error 1045 access denied for username password=yes
have tried preceeding the revoke command with
mysql -u root -p 'password'
but still fails. How do I authenticate to the database before issuing the revoke command?
cheers, sorry for such a basic question!

I used to have an open mind but my brains kept falling out.
hahaha, one of my programmers is also one of the lead programmers at swsoft the company that make plesk. Its the most god awful bugged program in the world (even they know it). We had to turn plesk off completely as half of everything didnt work and it consumed ALL of the servers memory 90% of the time.
I will ask him tomorrrow what the problem is and get back to you if someone hasnt done it already.
Nothing to see here...
