Last month i had to buy a New PC after the one i had had for 4 years decided it wasnt going to work another minute so, went and bought a Dell.

Fantastic, Brand New PC, Brand New Month.... no its been a hell of a month why...

Added Norton to it, which i have used to years, then came the problem AOL couldnt connect to the net because Norton had done a upgrade which then AOL told me to remove a certain file this would then log on to the internet and there would be a download to do through AOL, i have done all that and now i get pop ups regarding winfixer and other dodgy sites....

Norton does not pick them up
Microsoft defender finds some errors but this is what is says

    Resources:
    file:
    J:\System Volume Information\_restore{129201FA-B0AC-49B3-96B2-DEB8B91E727B}\RP25\A0007351.exe->(wise0031)

It will not let me delete it....

AOL spyware software brings all sorts of items up which the normal AOL user would more than likely just block all these..

    Valueclick.com
    Tribalfusion.com
    TradeDoubler.com
    WebTreads
    Statcounter
    Serving-sys
    RealMedia.com
    QuestionMarket.com
    Mediaplex.com
    Hotlog.ru
    FastClick.com
    Hitbox
    DoubleClick
    Commission-Junction.com
    casalemedia
    BS.Serving-sys
    BFast.com
    AtlasDMT.com
    As1falkag.de
    Falkag
    Adviva
    Advertising.com
    Adtech.de
    Ad.yieldmanager.com cookie
    About.com
    207.net
    247Realmedia.com

Now yes some stand out right away as ok in Tradedoubler and Commissionjunction but the CJ as a - within it.

So which ones should i block and which should stay open.

I think AOL are taking it far to far in my opinion but after this let hope me poop ups stop

    AO whooooooo

is what will be the case if they don't sort themselves out..

We've stopped even collecting AOL email addresses as it seems so pointless, I opened a yahoo and AOL account.. sent the same two emails to both.. and yahoo had both in the inbox... AOL didn't even let them into spam ..

what's the point in an email address that doesn't let you recieve virtually any email ? sure spam filter but AOL is a joke..

I tried AOL years ago.. is it still the same where you login and then get spammed to death with AOL's own advertising.. ?? ... great concept though.. charge a monthly fee for a service and then force people to watch adverts that you charged merchants to place...
