I'd like to congratulate Oli and the OMG team on the launch of these innovative services. I know a lot of work has gone into them and hope they will be mega-successful.
Suppose everybody has to be patient to be approved (or disapproved)![]()
Hi All,
To try and answer some of the points raised:
Both these services are designed to offer regular affiliates something that previously been readily available through a network. For instance, until now if you wanted to have Kelkoo integrated into your site you would have to be a major portal. Equally, Yahoo! Search Marketing content is not directly available to publishers unless they are generating significantly higher unique visitors than are required through OMG. We're definitely not trying to be elitist about either service, but there are clear commercial reasons while these partners need to impose fairly strict approval criteria.
Please can I ask that anyone applying for either service reads through the details in the login, as Yahoo! in particular have quite stringent requirements and exclusions.
With regard to approvals, it is likely that this will take a fair bit longer than for regular affiliate programmes, as the approval process is a bit more convoluted. We have also received an awful lot of applications in the last few days which is holding things up a bit at this end.
In the event that your application is not suitable for submission, we will do our best to talk through the reasoning, and suggest what might be done to meet the approval requirements in the future.
Regards,
Oli
