I have the same problem. I've offered some of them for sale with not much interest, but some of them are pretty good domain names. At the moment I'm doing nothing with them which could be construed as saving them for a rainy day.
I've got a number of domains that I bought up for projects that never really took off. Most of them have a website behind them but not much traffic. I'm sure most people here have a number of sites like this.
I'm just wondering what's the best thing to do with these sites. I could just scrap them and let the domains expire. This would give me some room to create some new sites as my hosting package is currently maxxed out.
Is there any value in keeping these sites going in terms of SEO for my new/existing sites? Most of the sites are over a year old and all have some pagerank.

Any domain name that has any kind of listing in the SE’s is worth keeping hold of, or just selling on. It would be a complete waste of the domain just to let it drop if it is in the SE’s.
PM me the list if you want, to see if I can make an offer on them or if there is any I fancy! - but dont just let them drop as you will get a lot more for them if they have any kind of traffic.
If they are old, they have value. I know people who'll pay a bit for them. YOu can dodge around a lot of SE filters with a multi year old domain
PM me a list of what you might get rid of and I'll have a butchers.
send me the list too and I'll take a lookski

Hi
I am looking for sites and old domains to buy.
So, please pm me a list if you want to shift anything and expected prices.
Cheers
Convert them into niche sites. Use nichetaxi to find a niche similar to the domain name, then throw up a niche site to exploit that particular niche. If you pay $10 a year for the domain and hosting, you need less than a dollar a month in adsense clicks to 'pay its way'. Anything over that is pure profit. If you don't make $10 a month from it, something is seriously wrong.
Bottom line is, if you have already got the domain indexed, find a niche! The hard work is done!

Top5 - think you've got your answer already, that there is definitely a market for names with an old site behind them. Sedo doesn't list a domain name's Archive.org listing for nothing. Okay - it can mean nothing if the name has been selling prescription MLM tat, but if, like I guess, you have standard sites that never really took off then they will have some value, even if only a listing fee at one of the domain sites or e(baY)Fence. Any domain that has been registered a while and taken through the sandbox must have a value greater than the reregistration unless it has a really offensive/uninspired/redundant name or stupdly obscure extension. Hold onto them. I've regretted letting names drop and had to register alternatives two years down the line because someone is sitting on my original choice by that point. If you are set on getting rid then I'm sure some of the posters on here will be able to offer you a sensible price.
If you decide to sell then please send me the list.
Thanks.
Im also in the same position - lots of old non-betting related sites that I just dont have time for. Interesting to see so much interest in old domains. If anyone is interested in mine then please PM me.
Yes please all add me to this too.
Always looking for interesting domains.
