Do you display your limited company name on your website?

I am concerned that people will be able to get access to my home address via companies house.

Yes we do display our company name on our websites (and usually the address on a contact us page).

What are you selling/doing that has you so worried that people will go to companies house to find your home address - they can't access that level of information without paying to get it and most people can't be bothered to pay.
Never argue with idiots. They just drag you down to their level and then beat you with their experience.

I would have thought you would put your details on your web site as a matter of course. If you want people to spend money they have to be able to trust you.

I'm just being an affiliate for electrical goods, so nothing dodgy!

kbudden - You can get someones address for free, just do a search on the companies name. http://www.companieshouse.co.uk/webcheck/

Sounds like I am just being paranoid then...

You can only get the company registered office for free - if you're worried about it speak to your accountant and use their address as your registered office - most accountants provide this service free but some make an additional charge.

Is it not law that you are supposed to display the business owners name and address. No offence but if you were really that worried about people getting hold of your home address then you would not of formed a company or made your home the registered office.
    Nothing to see here...

As far as I am aware, there is no legal requirement to put your company name or address on your website.

There is a lot to be said for adding this info when you are a merchant (in fact I don't buy anything online unless I can find a real contact address), but when you are acting as an affiliate referring people to other people's sites, I don't feel adding your company name or address is a necessity. Other factors are way more important to affiliate success, so if you aren't comfortable putting it on, leave it off and see how you go.

yes there is no need of address if you are making money from affiliate programs . but if you sell your own products peoples would not buy from you if they did not find your contact address.most peoples trust on those sites who have clear contact info.

Not true IMHO if you are a Limited Company

http://www.companieshouse.gov.uk/inf...ompanyCC.shtml Question three. A Web page is legally the same as a business form or letterhead. What's more - if you are a director of a limited company, you have a legal obligation to KNOW these kinds of things. Not that anyone has been sued for a long time...
