Hi Google Adwords is pay per click advertsing whereby you choose keywords that you want you ads to appear for when people search on google. You create the ads to appear for these terms and then you pay a set amount per click (depending on what bid price you set for the keyword). You can find more details on the google adwords page:

Google Adsense is where your site displays Google Adwords ads and then you get a pecentage of the click cost when a user clicks through on one of the ads. The ads shown are determined by which ones Google decides are most relevant to the content on your site. You can find more info here:
