    Hi,

Im just getting started here ive joined an affiliate networks and applied to some merchants.

Im looking for some advice as I wan to promote using PPC such as google which as far as i know do not allow me to link the advert directly to the merchant site.

For this i would need a landing page and once there the customer would further need to click an link to be moved to the merchant. Then if a purchase is made i would make some money

Does anyone have any advice in boosting the conversion of hits to the landing page which make it to the merchant site. Or is there a way of overcoming this.

    Thanks.

not sure if its allowed in google ppc terms like coz we dont do em so if im wrong get out ya ack ack guns and shoot me down

but what you could do is created a html page on your domain
    i.e. yournameheretypething.co uk/merchantnameoorsomethingelse.html

then just use a redirect on that page so it goes straight to the merchants page you want to promote...

this way all traffic is coming from your domain via your google ppc link and because its getting redirected theres no need for a landing page ..which you have to rely on someone pressing the link on that page to take em to the merchant shop.

hope that sort of made sense

IMO google aren't likely to allow that.

    Yes, that's right.

Although some merchants will allow you to link directly to them using your affiliate link. It just depends on their terms and conditions.

Add value to the click with a product review, comparison or other relevant content. Test it. Then make it better. Test it. Then make it better (etc, etc)
