Thinking of setting up a forum

Hi,

I've recently setup a blog in which I give some news and reviews on a product which was recently released. I'm getting a good number of visitors and a few affiliate sales. Looking to setup a forum on the site to add a more community feel and allow other people to give there reviews on the product. This will hopefully increase my affiliate sales.

Can anyone advise on if setting up a forum is worth the effort. Is there a lot of time and effort spent in moderating a forum? Do forums generate affiliate sales? By the way, well done Matt with this forum. I love it

A forum is great if you have the time to run it.

The biggest problem with a Forum is getting.... and keeping members.
Nothing looks worse than a forum with little activity and few members.
