How long did it take you to get your first affiliate sale on your website. I launched on Wednesday last week and I have abottle of champers chilling for the big moment!

really depends how many visitors, if the site is good, if people want what your selling etc. You can never tell really

My first sale was something I bought myself as well. I reckon most people do this on their first site just to make sure affiliate marketing really works

My first real sale was for an Apple product costing around £16. Commission for this item was a massive 24 pence (1.5%) but it was the sweetest 24 pence I ever made I was so delighted with it, great to see someone else using my site and then buying something from it. Girlfriend brought me out for a meal to celebrate, she paid, my 24 pence wouldn't quite cover it

I learned an awful lot from that sale. Never choose a program with such low commission.

Launched new site www.4babyandme.co.uk last Monday and have had sales every day so far.

Unfortunately the Adwords expense has more than eaten up any profit but the cpc is gradually coming down.

Yes it was indeed due to adwords (and hopefully a good looking site ) hee hee.

Mind you, I also have a lingerie site www.seekituk.com which I am running Adwords for and it doesn't get the quantity of sales that the baby site is getting. I only wish I'd done the baby site first !!

For my first site It took about 2 weeks. The site has been up for 3 months now and still just the one sale sent about 100 clicks to the merchant so I guess I am due another sale soon.

The day it was advertised. I was more than a tad amazed and gratified that you could make a profit with PPC.
