neither would i, in fact i hate them with a passion, i had a huge argument with them over chargebacks, where they screwed me for £300
Another option for people maybe nochex new merchant account, which is dofferent to their standard accounts
Nope streamline gave us a merchant account straight away with no trading history.Originally Posted by cymonguk
True that with "proccesors" you still need a merchant account and worldpay can get round this because they are owned by RBS but I guess thats where all the higher charges with worldpay go to.
Personally i wouldn't touch worldpay with a bargepole

It definitely depends on the merchant, the site, the products, the target group, the country they operate in/target. If you're targetting Americans, they have a fixation with PayPaland yound shoppers also prefer it as they are accustomed to it from ebay.
For the UK though overall PayPal as the sole payment option does make the site look a bit amateurish, and there are a lot of people who don't trust or haven't used PP, so will abandon basket.
So, I would advise to take up a second payment gateway, worldpay and protx are very popular with our merchants. Just make sure the tracking code is displayed in both gateways' thank you page, or do a quick redirect for both to the merchant's thank you page.
