    Check out the Adsense Ads on this site:
    http://www.squidoo.com/ipodcase/

    The code seems to have been modified so that the links are not underlined. Am I missing something here, or can you set this up in the Adsense control panel?

    I noticed the Google ads on Digg.com are also different (Hover effect) - so I'm guessing Google will let you do this if you have a very high traffic site...

    Here is an example of the Digg ads - I just picked the current first story to link to. Am I right in the assumption that the more traffic you have, the more you can modify the ads?

    I look forward to hearing your views.

    Yes, if you have a very high traffic site (more than 100k uniques a day, if memory serves me right) then you effectively join a different tier and get your own adsense account rep etc. With that, they will work with you to let you customise the ad layout.

    Im not 100% sure about this but if you do not touch the source code supplied by G I think you could make ads look a bit like that with a style sheet, something like this should work I think - obviously you also need to change the bg colour and rounded corners etc

    Code:
    .adsense {
    text-decoration: none;
    }

    .adsense:hover {
    text-decoration: none;
    }
    The code on that site however is definately modified, not necessarily breaking the TOCs though as has been pointed out already.

    I'm fairly sure that the ToS covers CSS modification. If you get into the Premium Publisher tier, you do (as noted) get a lot more freedom, but plain vanilla AS is meant to *look* like AS.

    What the ToS is trying to do is stop people blending the ads seamlessly into their content. I've seen some examples of sites where you really had to know what you were looking for to spot the AS
