    Hi I'm setting up some Amazon Associate links. An example of one being below.

    Code:
    http://www.assoc-amazon.co.uk/e/ir?t=uber7&l=as2&o=2&a=B00004CZXU" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;
    I'm doing the link as a redirect in a folder that google won't spider. For that reason the page won't be shown to the visitors browser and consequently the 1x1 pixel won't be loaded.

    Does anyone know if it necessary for the pixel to be loaded or is it just something Amazon have there for another purpose.

    Any advice would be great,

    Paul.

    Hi - have sorted it - the pixel tracks impressions so as to provide click to sale data.

    pricethat -
    I have a robots file telling google not to look in the jump folder so that it does not see that it has affiliate links on the site.
    The page won't be shown to the visitors browser as it has a serverside redirect in it rather than a client side one due to the page having no other purpose than to update my data and redirect the user.
