If the web address is a trademark name the software company are likely to demand the domain back.
So i've been in the affiliate game for about a week nownot long i know. I'm still waiting for my first sale, but saying that i'm still working on my first site.
I'm looking for some ethical advice or just plain advice. Hypothetical situation, there's a new game/movie going to be released some time next year. Theres a domain available that is sure going to be a big search engine hit. Should i purchase that domain, put a wordpress blog up with a few SEO tweeks, add loads of content now which is relevant to the movie/game genre. Leave it 3/6 months until the game is released and then whack a bit of ppc and affiliate marketing links up with the hope that its already indexd and up there in the search engines?
Or is this just a stupid idea and a waste of £7.99![]()

I'd say go for it, I can pretty much guarantee you'd make more than £7.99 out of it.
As long as you provide your visitors with useful and relevant information then ethics shouldn't come into it
As for trademark of the domain, im unsure, but the worst that will happen is they'd ask you to remove the website which means you'd have wasted £7.99 - big deal?![]()

Pm me for prices.
The majority of corporations would probably offer a few quid to take the name over rather than go to litigation / arbitration as long as your site was not deliberately passing off or advertising a competitor. £7.99? go for it
They came for my 404 and I said nothing
