How Do I Deeplink to Specific Products?

Can someone please help me on how to deeplink to specific products in a merchants store?

Currently I use the standard affiliate links given by the various networks, but would like to direct my website visitors to specific products.

I am scared of messing around with the links incase they dont track!!! And I would never really know they were broken or not tracking :-(

Could someone please show me some samples from any network?

I can't tell you how to do it on other networks but to deeplink to products for Affiliate Future you would do the following:

Get the generic html code for the merchant you require (at the top of every page of banners on AF), so it would look like below:

http://scripts.affiliatefuture.com/AFClick.asp?affiliateID=2729&merchantID=2075&programmeID=5537&mediaID=0&tracking=&url=deeplinkgoeshere

and then replace deeplinkgoeshere with the url (including http://) of the page you wish to deeplink to

So for example to link to our bestselling product, the Peekaboo Pole Dancing Set, you would use the link below (though of course for you affiliateID would show your own affiliateID on AF)

http://scripts.affiliatefuture.com/AFClick.asp?affiliateID=2729&merchantID=2075&programmeID=5537&mediaID=0&tracking=&url=http://www.buycheapcondoms.co.uk/games-for-couples/peek-a-boo-pole-dancing.php

Mark the best thing to do is take a look on each Networks help section, as each Network does it slightly differently.

For example:

Tradedoubler is like this:

http://clkuk.tradedoubler.com/click?p=18796&a=xxxxxxx&g=512634&url=TARGET_URL

Where xxxxxxx is replaced by your affiliate ID and TARGET_URL is the deeplink page you wish to send your visitor to.


Webgains is like this:

http://track.webgains.com/click.html?wgcampaignid=xxxx&wgprogramid=193&wgtarget=Target_url

Where xxxx is your affiliate ID
Target_URL is replaced with the deeplink once again

As I say take a look at each merchants help section carefully before using this info mate.

On Paid On Results you simply replace the Merchants domain name with a standard tracking URL

So

http://www.hqhair.com/code/products.asp?PageID=362&SectionID=374&FeaturedID=1 3951&FeaturedProduct=9727&pID=1

Becomes

http://www.paidonresults.net/c/1000/1/158/0/code/products.asp?PageID=362&SectionID=374&FeaturedID=1 3951&FeaturedProduct=9727&pID=1

All you have done was to replace http://www.hqhair.com with http://www.paidonresults.net/c/1000/1/158/0 this works the same for every merchant that allows deep linking.

For webgains merchants, you have the following options:

1. grab the merchant's feed and use the urls from there for whichever product you want.
2. text/deep link generator: you select the program, you paste the url you want to link to, add in any click parameters and you copy the code
3. use the simple formula of http://track.webgains.com/click.html?wgcampaignid=[YOUR CAMPAIGN ID]&wgprogramid=[PROGRAM ID]&wgtarget=[HTTP://WWW.PRODUCTURL.CO.UK]
