Quick introduction... I'm Stephen, the Online Development Manager at Photobloc. We've recently launched our affiliate programme with Webgains and we're keen to do whatever we can to help it grow. We'd love to hear your comments on our website and the programme itself - if there's anything we could be doing better, then please email or call me!

About Photobloc
Photobloc turn photos into stunning canvas prints. We've been doing this online for over two years, and we're growing rapidly in size each month.

There are three main reasons for this rapid growth:

* More and more people are getting digital cameras and are keen to do more with their photos than just store them on their computer.

We want to work hard to make Photobloc stand out. These are a few reasons to choose us:

* conversion rate for all traffic is 8-10%

* commission levels at 10%, 12.5% and 15%

* we don't accept orders by phone - orders can only be placed online

Our affiliate programme has been active for just over a week now. It's been going well so far, but there's huge potential to take it a lot further.

We want to get the conversion rate even higher, and we're constantly looking at new ways to do so. We value our affiliates highly, and we'd love to hear your thoughts. e.g. should we add PayPal as another method of payment? how can we improve the banners we've provided with our campaign (should they be animated)? do you have any concerns about our website from an affiliate's POV? how do you want us to make our programme more attractive - vouchers/promotions for your customers or prizes for the best affiliates (and which prizes work best)?

Hi Steve

OK, well posting here is a very good start, not only for suggestions but also to help communicate your program as I hadn't noticed it before.

I have had a poke around the site and what's on offer looks good. One question I do have, if I select a photobloc using one of the images from your gallery, I can't see where I can preview how it will look in block format.

Is this possible to add or is it something I am missing that is already available on the website?

Oh and by the way, I know I may be the first person, but not the last, any discount codes we can publish on our websites would be a bonus too

Thanks for the comments - much appreciated! In answer to your questions...

preview gallery images in block format
There's no preview at the moment, but I'm working on this. I absolutely agree the images look much better in '3D' rather than flat. The CMS we use limits us to plain text descriptions for those items, so I can't add images in immediately. I'll look into tweaking the CMS and get back to you!

discount codes
This is something we're working on as well. When we worked out the commission tiers, we tried to make the % as high as possible, without compromising our margins and hence jeopardising the programme. If we have any room to move further - e.g. if we source cheaper materials - then we'll adjust the programme accordingly.

That said, we may well be looking to kickstart January sales with an incentive or two...
