Does anyone know what's going on with silvertap? Their site has been down intermittently for best part of a month and now seems to have completely crashed. This caused all ads on my sites to no show.

They don't seem to have been very swift at sorting this hellish problem out either.

Dear Gunneradt

We are aware that there is an intermitant problem with our Silvertap system and our technical team are working on this as a matter of extreme priority.

We have been experiencing this issue intermitantly for one week maximum however we will ensure that our affiliates will not encounter any financial loss and will be compensated accordingly.

An email explaining this issue is being sent to all of our affiliates now.

The word joke springs to mind. Looks like silvertap are 2007's first casualty.

Yes unfortunately 2007 hasn't been kind to Silvertap so far.

However, we are, as I have said, working round the clock to resolve the problem and all affiliates that work with our network can rest assured that they will be compensated for this very frustrating situation.

There has been no further official updates so we are unable to give people any more information than was provided in our email of 11.17 yesterday.

Rest assured you will all be contacted as soon as we know more.

Yes I'm using Silvertap, Affiliate Marketing and Brand Conversion. Not sure what problems you are having, but I have just checked and it all appears to be working for me now My stats also show clicks and displays stats for all days except 3rd January. Although annoying, I don't think it's as large an outage as what could be read into by some of the posts here.

As for details of compensation, personally I would prefer to wait until everything is 100% back to normal before the Aimee and others even start thinking about how and what will be offered, and I am sure I speak on behalf of others too.

Lets just wait and see what happens, but I am not worrying about it, having got to know the people who are there, fixing these issues.

If you still have problems Gunner, I suggest you contact the people in the offices and explain your exact problems, as comments such as "ive never seen such as a mess as their offering - it never seems to be working" don't provide them with a lot of details or pinpointers to resolve your issues.

Hi, i know the folks at silvertap and Brand Conversions, and can say with a degree of confidence that any problems they have had would be genuine, and am pretty sure they did all they could to sort them out as quickly as possible.

I'm also pretty sure that they will compensate as promised - they're a solid organisation.

Gunner why dont you post exact details of your problems, or contact Silvertap directly? Seriously, your comments are of no help to Silvertap or other affiliates.

Maybe if you post your exact details, someone can help you out or you may find out that you are not alone and give a valuable heads up to other affiliates

If you phoned up PC World and said "I have a problem with my PC" you can't expect them to fix it surely?

I really do not care that my posts are not helpful to silvertap. If other users have not realised that silvertap is barely working then I am very surprised.

Gunner that is a very selfish, thoughtless reply in my opinion. Yes, although all affiliates are each others competition, this industry is like no other, in that we are willing to help each other out. Not give away our trade secrets, but help each other out......

You say you don't care if you posts are helpful to Silvertap which is confusing, as you want Silvertap to fix the problem surely? Therefore you should care that they are helpful as in the meantime you are losing potential income aren't you?

Again, if you are going to post here, can I please suggest that you identify your particular problem . Believe it or not, your problem maybe specific to you or maybe you're doing something wrong, in which case there are plenty of people here, including myself, that would be willing to help out a fellow affiliate.

If you think you have identified a potential problem then why not warn others? I really don't see the sense of keeping this, what appears to be, hideous problem a secret, when you could share with others, and others maybe able to assist you?
