Looks like I better stop faffing with my new security system and start building a site around the iphone domain I bought last year - grrr too much to do!

Oct 2007 is apparently when it will be available. Personally, although it looks fantastic, I'm disappointed they didn't go with the 'sim free only' route that was rumoured. I think that is likely to hit them a bit in terms of wide-scale takeup.

Overall, the keynote was disappointing really - Macworld without anything to do with the Mac. And here I was sat with credit card in hand :-(

I like it when Apple announce products and have them in-store straight away. Having to wait until Q4 is going to be torture and it all depends which UK network they do a deal with - although I'll still get one anyway if I'm honest with myself. Looks super, the Apple chief designer was born in Essex don't ya know

    Blogged it:

I wonder if the touch sensitive screen will make it difficult to dial one-handed.

Apple have done it again - no guesses as to which phone we will all want... - the Keynote address is well worth a watch - compulsive viewing (its 2:30am amd i'm still watching....)

click here for the "Keynote address"

ps: interestingly enough this is the first url to come up in Google for "iPhone" - appleiphone.blogspot.com

pps: Apple shares rose 700 today! nice if you had a spread bet on it lol

The 'slide to unlock' feature is just brilliant. It will be interesting to see how the touchscreen works long term if being used for finger taps rather than stylus taps.

what I am really expecting to happen now is that the other handset manufactures will get their R&D guys working absolute overtime now to come up with potential range of competing handsets towards the end of the year (but there a great chance they knew about this before us!) Theres no doubt apple seem to have done it again but I dont expect the other manufactures (nokia, motorola, SE) to take this lying down and hopefully the consumer should benefit from this....

    £300 +
    4Gb Memory
    2 year Contract
    Available only on one network

Why would I want one when I can use a PDA thats cheap, available on different networks, can hold just as much music, has a stylus (so no greasy finger marks on screen), and with a switch of memory card, can run TomTom amongst other things.

    Complete let down IMHO
