If you want to swap links in blogland, do it the "natural" way, cite someone elses' posts, and wait for them to notice. If you keep writing quality stuff, you'll start getting cited back.
Also, blogs can do well in the natural results. To make it happen, you should sort out your basic SEO though - change your title tag (unless you think ranking for "zinc" will really help you) - branding is just great, but ranking for kick-ass terms is kind of useful too. I just changed my title tag, and jumped from about #9 to #3 for one of my key terms in about 4 days.
Writing good post titles is also critical. Firstly, you can drop a few keywords (good for ranking again), secondly, you can encourage people to actually read your content (this is doubly true once you start picking up subscribers. They'll see your titles in their aggregators, and make a read / no read decision solely on that, until you get to the point where you are an auto-read, A-list blogging hero)
Thanks for the advice Brendon I know my SEO is an issue at the moment and I am trying to fix it![]()

Wierd. Are you rolling your own then? I just changed mine, was a one click type thing

Why, thank you for noticingI'm doing well for "uk seo blog", but that's a fluke of G's current "we-love-keywords-in-the-URL" algo
I want to hit those 2-word generics too. G and Y are giving me some love atm, want to ride it
now someone tells me I have been trying to code it in php- what screen is that on Brendon?
options >> General >> Weblog title field
oh my god...![]()
Can you drop variables into that, like %postname% ?
thanks mate
Um, not at that level, I think. There's a different bit, where you can define post titles, and use the post slug. You need to arse about with your .htaccess and stuff for that though. I couldn't be bothered, left it numeric, personally
You should just download Ultimate Tag Warrior and then get the SEO Title plugin for it. That will do you good Zink & start to get you good rankings.
