Just thought I'd post a thread and invite any party people who might also like do something nice for charity as well as have a really great time!

I'm holding a "Diamonds are..." party in the Borough Bar, London Bridge Street on Saturday 27th January in aid of the National Deaf Childrens Society. I've registered to take part in Cycle Namibia at the end of March and need to raise a total of £3,200 (I've paid registration fees and am putting in £1,000 myself to pay for flights, accommodation, etc) so this is one of my big fundraisers!

The party itself is a James Bond and Marilyn Monroe theme... so come as either (or something related) to potentially win a prize!

Tickets are £20 each and include a drink, and a chance to win a REAL diamond, worth rrp £500 (really kindly donated by London Antwerp Diamonds).
Not a bad return on £20?!?

There will also be spot prizes and a raffle during the night...

I was introduced to the A4U by Red, who I worked with before... designing some of her marketing campaigns! So am a renegade in here I suppose. Hope you don't mind?!

I'm Irish... and been over in England for about 3 years come next month, working in design. Am out of the advertising side of things now, and working within education, developing and designing a training resource for medical students on cardiac structure and function using MR.

Taking part in this challenge is down to my going temporarily deaf in April 2006 really. Freaked out a little because I wasn't sure whether it was going to be a permanent thing, and was struggling with the change from total hearing to lip reading and trying to decipher vibrations. When I regained my hearing, I promised I do something to help the NDCS. So here I am.
